The Role We are now recruiting for a Marketing Events Executive who will bring strong experience and work ethic to our sales and marketing team. The Marketing Events Executive is a fundamental role in the Marketing team. Events and exhibitions are crucial for showcasing our innovative products and educational initiatives to our stakeholders. We attend over 100 events in the UK and Ireland from small regional meetings to large trade exhibitions with the majority of these events being UK based. We would like an individual who wants to develop and grow in the role but also progress their career in the marketing team long term.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
Create and deliver the yearly events and exhibitions operational plan.
Strategically plan and manage all events/exhibitions in the marketing calendar, including, OTC Pharmacy, Optics, Primary and Secondary care channel events.
Exhibition and event organiser liaison.
Maximising lead generation and activation post-event.
Work with Product Managers to create and execute pre-event, during event and post-event promotion such as e-shots, PR, advertising, social media as well as KOL selection and management.
Planning and executing creative multi-channel campaigns to engage both the industry and consumers at events.
Managing the onsite customer and employee experience.
Carry out sales and marketing team briefings/debriefings.
Effectively manage the events email database for each stakeholder group.
Liaise with design agencies to develop exhibition stand concepts and artwork on time and to budget.
Manage the events budget efficiently and effectively.
Ensure that all marketing collateral and other event material are in good order and arrive to schedule.
Attend key events in the UK to ensure smooth set up and tear down.
Contribute to brand planning sessions across all divisions.

Educational coordination:
Arrange speaker sessions i.e. workshops, lectures (CET/CPD approved), send invites, track attendees. Organising content for educational (CET/CPD) industry events, trade events & meetings.
Establishing and maintaining KOL relationships.
Manage website and social media content.
Self-Development
1. Proactively seek feedback from your peers and management on personal performance and act on development areas highlighted by their response.
2. Construct a personal development plan with guidance from your manager and take personal accountability for implementing this plan.
3. Continuously seek to improve personal skills, knowledge and competencies in order to improve performance.

Educational Requirement and Experience Qualifications:
3rd level education, preferably in a related field.
Training or related qualification or certification.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably working in the healthcare/pharma industry with a minimum of 3 years events/exhibitions organising experience.
Experience working within a marketing team preferably in a healthcare setting.
Digital Marketing skillset a distinct advantage (website management, E-Shots, Social Media Content). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written & verbal.
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
Accuracy and attention to detail is essential in ensuring all elements of an event are considered. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines within a team environment.
Good knowledge of Microsoft packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
A good sense of humour and a bright, enthusiastic personality.
Willingness to travel to the UK and within Ireland when required (20%).
