We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning organization based in Cork. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.

The role as a CNC Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Engineer and will be based in one of our customers premises to minimise downtime on their CNC machine tools; services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of CNC equipment, and software & hardware upgrades. The role will also include machining centres with multiple axis.

Duties

  • Based on a customer’s premises.
  • Working with an existing team to provide maintenance cover on multi axis machining centres to reduce downtime.
  • Liaise with in-house maintenance and stock control teams.
  • To coordinate and co-operate with other staff members to ensure the smooth and professional operation of the Service Division.
  • Support technically on projects and any other business needs as deemed fit by management.
  • Attend factory training at the company’s principals abroad, as part of your training and continual development

Education & Experience

  • Knowledge and experience of fault finding on and the servicing of mechanical assemblies, electrical hardware, and through NC control diagnostics
  • Knowledge and experience in carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Knowledge and experience of Fanuc controls 0, 16, 30, and 31 and Fanuc hardware replacement (amplifiers, motors, etc)
  • Knowledge and experience in carrying out machine installations and barfeeder alignments
  • Knowledge of multi-spindle machine preferrable
