QC Scientist

The QC Scientist is responsible for performing analytical work on raw materials, intermediate and finished product to support production and shipping schedules. Ensuring that all testing and data review is carried out within the required timelines and in compliance with Regulatory, GMP and GLP guidelines.

Role

·Testing raw materials, intermediate and finished product ensuring that all testing and data review is carried out within the required timelines and in compliance with guidelines.
·Ensuring the Right First Time and laboratory KPI’s are achieved.
·Other responsibilities may include;

  • Assisting in the documentation updates for QC test methods and procedure.
  • Analytical data review.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Involvement in improvement projects.
  • Training other laboratory analysts (as deemed necessary).

Person

·Applicants should possess a BSC degree with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
·A working knowledge of GMP/GLP and knowledge of and preferably experience in use of titrators and/or GC/HPLC systems are advantageous.
·Capability to write scientific reports including, laboratory investigation reports, protocols and reports.
·The successful candidate will have the ability to operate effectively as a constructive team player within the QC Laboratory.
·Good organisational skills to meet deadlines in a busy and results orientated laboratory.
